JCC

Committee: Joint Crisis Committee (JCC)
Agenda: The Syrian Revolution – Regime vs. Revolution

The Syrian Revolution, which began as a series of pro-democracy protests, has erupted into a full-scale civil war, splitting the nation between the forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the revolutionary opposition seeking to dismantle it. This conflict has transformed Syria into a battleground of competing ideologies, political ambitions, and foreign interests, with devastating consequences for its people.

This Joint Crisis Committee (JCC) will immerse delegates in the complexities of one of the most defining conflicts of the 21st century, bringing together two opposing cabinets—the Syrian government and the revolutionary factions—each striving to assert control over Syria’s future. Delegates will be tasked with making real-time strategic, military, and diplomatic decisions that will shape the course of the war, navigating internal divisions, external pressures, and humanitarian crises. The stakes are high, as both sides must leverage their resources, alliances, and political influence to secure victory while contending with the ever-present threat of foreign intervention, economic collapse, and regional instability.
